MENSPIRE Opens in SoHo: Our First Men's Hair Salon in America
This summer MENSPIRE opened its first salon in the United States, at 11 Greene Street in SoHo. It's a men's hair salon built the way we build them everywhere: a short menu, an unhurried chair, and a team trained to one standard. After more than thirty salons in seven countries, New York is our first chair in America.
Why SoHo
Greene Street runs through the heart of the cast iron district, and our salon sits between Canal Street and Grand Street. The buildings here were made to show things off: tall windows, high ceilings, long runs of daylight. That suits a salon. Our front windows look straight out onto the street, and the room behind them is white walls, black chairs and polished concrete, lit by long lines of light overhead. Nothing in it competes with the work.
SoHo is also a neighborhood where people care how they look and expect things done properly. That's exactly where we wanted to be.
Who runs it
MENSPIRE New York is owned and run by Luca Perillo and Carlo Polito. Both were born and raised in Naples, moved to London as young men, and have cut hair across Europe and America ever since. Luca opened MENSPIRE Napoli in 2020 and trains stylists from all over the world as one of MENSPIRE's International Educators. Carlo's work took him from London to Scotland, Spain, Miami and now New York.

What we do
The menu is deliberately short, and every appointment starts with a conversation about what you want and how you wear your hair day to day.
- Haircut & Style, from $45: consultation, cut and finish. The MENSPIRE signature.
- Beard Trim, from $25, or Haircut & Beard from $60, with the beard shaped, lined and dressed.
- ReStyle, $155: for a real change in length, layers or shape, with the time to get it right.
- Shampoo & Style, from $18: a fresh finish before an evening out.
What hasn't changed
The badge on our front desk says what MENSPIRE has always stood for: award winning, made in England, worldwide. In 2025 MENSPIRE's cofounder, Josh Lamonaca, was named Men's Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards. Every stylist on Greene Street is trained to that standard, and held to it.
